Thank you for choosing Independence Bank as your financial institution! Our switch kit is designed to make the process for moving from your current financial institution to Independence Bank an easy one.
If you would like to authorize Direct Deposits, please complete the Direct Deposit Change Form. Please print, sign and give to your employer.
If you have automatic withdrawals coming out of your previous account, example…insurance premiums or college loan payments, please fill out the Automatic Payment/Withdrawal Change Notice and mail to the appropriate vendor. Please make sure payment changes have been made before closing the account.

We will fill out the switch kit information for you and mail the forms! Please bring a voided check from your previous bank account as well as any pertinent information on Direct Deposits or automatic payments you would like to switch to your new Independence Bank account. This includes automatic debits (ACH) or automatic charges to your debit and/or credit cards. Common uses of automatic debits include rent/mortgage, utilities, phone, and cable bills. Direct Deposits include payroll, taxes, retirement and pension plan accounts, or expense reimbursements. Social Security customers need to call the Social Security Administration at 800-772-1213 or go to www.ssa.gov. If you have Direct Deposits through the military, visit www.dfls.mil. Please stop in and visit with one of our New Accounts Representatives to assist you with this process. Please keep in mind that we will need your signature on some of the forms to complete the transition to your new account.
Online Bill Pay (Electronic Payments)
If you use an online bill pay service at your previous financial institution, be sure to cancel each payee and then add them to your Independence Bank Online Bill Pay Service. Learn more about Bill Pay and all of its great features by clicking here.
Some companies require the use of their own forms to initiate the switching of accounts. In order to help facilitate this change from your existing account to your new account with Independence Bank, we may ask for your assistance. Please make sure all deposit and payment changes have been made before closing your account.
