Cherry Colgan recently accepted the position of Assistant Branch President/Operations Supervisor for the Wolf Point and Poplar branches. With over fifteen years of dedicated service at Independence Bank, Cherry has played a pivotal role in both the bank’s operations and in the local community.
Cherry’s journey with Independence Bank began as a teller. After some time, she moved to the loan department as a loan assistant and soon thereafter was promoted to loan officer. Though still involved in lending, Cherry then agreed to take on an additional role, Supervisor of Operations, where she quickly became known for her leadership, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing exceptional service to customers. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to both the bank and the community she serves.
Born and raised north of Poplar, Cherry has deep roots in the area. She continues to work in her hometown, and lives along with her husband on their family farm and ranch south of Poplar.
In addition to her professional achievements, Cherry has always been actively involved in her community, contributing to local efforts, planning events, and working with fellow community members. She serves on the FSA County Committee and volunteers with the Poplar Saddle Club, helping to organize and support activities for residents.  When she’s not working, Cherry enjoys quilting, beading, and spending time outdoors. She is an avid gardener, enjoys fishing, and loves horseback riding. In the winter, she often relaxes with audiobooks and podcasts, constantly looking for new recommendations.

A native of Havre, Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management, with a minor in Communications, from Carroll College in Helena, MT. She also holds a certification in Social Media. Danielle’s journey at Independence Bank saw her move into the role of Design Coordinator at the close of 2023, where her impact was quickly felt.
In addition to her professional achievements, Danielle is deeply rooted in the Havre community. A proud resident for over 21 years, she is actively involved in local organizations, including serving on the Friends of Beaver Creek Park Board. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, and their extended family and friends. She loves attending her niece and nephew’s sporting events, supporting local teams at HHS and MSUN, golfing, and playing pickleball—her new favorite hobby. She also cherishes visits to the family cabin.
